In 2019, the Board of Directors voted to initiate a new NPAworldwide Award for Community Service. We were very pleased to honor Jon Davis of Perfect Fit Placement with the inaugural Community Service Award during the 2020 Global Conference, followed by Simone Allan of Mondo Search in 2021.

Nominations are open through December 31st for the 2022 Community Service Award recipient.

Please help us recognize your work or the work of a fellow member. Submit your nomination here!

NPAworldwide is committed to recognizing members that are contributing to their local communities, volunteering, doing charitable activities, or impacting people in ways beyond their work in the network. Annually, the network will seek nominations of members to be recognized for contributions in service toward others. On years when the Board determines there are appropriate nominees, the Board will put these appropriate nominees forward for a vote by a selection committee.

Our goal is to make visible the good work of members in the hopes of inspiring even greater contributions from the whole membership. Where possible and appropriate, the network would like to acknowledge, create awareness, perhaps support and offer a token contribution.

Award Eligibility

  • Current members in good standing, including Board Directors, Area Leaders and Practice Group Leaders and any other volunteer. Those nominated are not permitted to vote.

  • Nominated by a fellow member in good standing or self-nominated

  • For non-paid activities

  • Nominations will not carry over year to year

  • No repeat recipients within a 10-year time-frame

Award Criteria/Selection

The Board reserves the right to use any evaluation tools, information and resources available to assess the following major criteria. Other criteria may also be used to evaluate and differentiate the many great nominations made. The award is intended for non-paid activities of any current member in good standing from any location worldwide.

  • Contribution to the audience or community

  • Impact on people/results for community

  • Legacy or enduring difference made

  • Time invested/significance of sacrifice

The Board will select a collection of appropriate nominees, which may be less than all those nominated, to be put in front of a selection committee made up of Area Leaders and Practice Group Leaders. The nominee with the most votes will be awarded.

Award Schedule

Nominees will be sought annually from December 1 to December 31. No nominations will be accepted after the close of nominations. If an award is to be made for the year, the awarded member will be announced by the end of February.

Winner is awarded (preferably at the Global Conference if in attendance):

  • An award plaque

  • US$1,000 contribution to the charity/organization that was the target of the nominee’s effort.
