As we enter the holiday season, I want to wish all NPAworldwide members and staff a very Happy Thanksgiving. For those members outside of the U.S. not celebrating Thanksgiving, I wish you the joy of the day and holiday greetings to you and your family. At this time of Thanksgiving, as I reflect on my tenure at NPAworldwide, working with you has been an amazing opportunity and one of the gifts in my life. Thank You! I consider myself very fortunate to have a chance to work with you and to participate in, The Essence of NPA.
The Essence of NPA was in great form earlier this month in Bangkok. Forty-one members got together for a two day meeting around best practices, sharing their subject matter expertise and thought leadership, as well as some great in-person socialization. Members from Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA, and Vietnam were in attendance. Many thanks to our Regional Director Carola Chard, staff members Kristen Davie and Kelsea Dodd, and our Immediate Past Chair Jason Elias for their time and leadership making the event successful.
Lastly, on a different note: although Halloween has passed, there appears to be some incidences of ghosting at NPAworldwide. Specifically, ignoring status requests by fellow members. Of course, this is not a systemic issue but it is irritating to receive a call about this behavior, and regrettably experiencing it firsthand myself. So offending parties, nothing personal, but please take note!! Treat your partners like partners, better yet, treat your partners the way you expect to be treated.
