Dear Nicky,

I am new to NPAworldwide and wondered about adding my staff. Is there a cost to do so? Is there anything else I need to know in advance?

Expanding in Ecorse

Dear Ecorse,

We encourage members to add staff who will be actively participating in the network. There is no cost for additional users. We recommend that each person who is participating in the network have their own access. Sharing user names and passwords is not a good practice.

Here are some things to consider before adding staff to NPAworldwide systems:

  • Each person who has a login is required to take and pass our Ethics Quiz before being granted access. As an owner, it is your responsibility to ensure your staff members know and understand NPAworldwide policies before you add them. The Ethics Quiz is short (5 questions) and includes some, but not all, of the most important rules surrounding split placement activity. Please make sure you thoroughly review the Operations Manual, Section A. Policies and Section E. Financial Obligations with everyone on your team who will be working NPAworldwide.
  • A new person added to the system has a limited amount of time to take the quiz before their account is deleted due to inactivity, so don't add people who are on vacation, maternity leave, knee-deep in a project, etc. Make sure they will be able to take the quiz within 14 days of adding them.
  • Users are required to log in to NPA Central at least once every 180 days to maintain access. Dormant accounts are auto-deleted every 180 days to help safeguard members' proprietary information. Do not add people who are not going to be active participants.
    • To avoid this, please make sure you ONLY access NPAmarketplace via the link on the NPA Central dashboard.
  • Consider how your staff members will participate. For those who will be candidate recruiters, pay special attention to the rules about posting another member's job, permission to advertise, etc. For those who will be job recruiters, focus on the rules surrounding honoring referrals, releasing client information to the partner, etc.
  • When you have staff turnover, please take immediate steps to terminate their access to avoid any risk of inappropriate activity.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Engagement Staff or refer to the NPA Operations Manual.

Nicky
