We have been hearing from some recruiters that they stopped posting their jobs as they are getting a lot of “not a fit” candidates for the jobs they are posting. That is a problem, because by not posting your jobs you are missing out on new members that may be a great fit for you.

To that, I would say, the Solution:
  • If you're getting junk, make sure your job order is well-written, concise and all the must-haves are included.
  • If a member sends you a candidate who is not a fit, let them know why/where they missed the mark. It will help them refine their search and send you more on-target candidates.
  • If you get the same partner(s) sending you junk repeatedly, make sure you first work owner-to-owner to resolve it, and if that does not work, escalate to Owner-to-BOD.
  • Remember also that you have an engagement specialist ready and willing to help.
  • Watch the Membership Updates and make sure you are reaching out to new members who work your space, this is a great way to get a feel for members you may have synergy with.

The Problem:
  • If you are the member sending the junk, stop. This will not only ruin your reputation but NPAworldwide’ s as well.
  • Junk in, junk out… it is NOT a numbers game. Candidate recruiters, make sure you are providing quality candidates that are a fit for the jobs you are submitting them to. Job recruiters, make sure you are only posting quality jobs worth a fee, from good clients who are responsive.
  • We are a member-owned recruiting network and no one can help if they don’t know the issue. Reach out to your engagement specialist if you need help.
