Well we weren’t able to meet in person but this was the next best thing. Last week was the Asia-Pacific conference and we had attendees from across the globe.

The event was held over three days on Zoom and included keynote speakers, presentations from members and plenty of networking opportunities in virtual breakout rooms. I ordered a Malaysian Nasi Lemak on Uber Eats to get into the spirit.

Many of you may not know but my late father was from Singapore and I completed a degree in Asian Studies before studying law. Asian culture is a large part of my heritage.

A few highlights from the conference include:

  • Great tips from members in the top producers panel – Parvathy is a terrific facilitator!
  • One member sets a monthly goal of $10,000 monthly income from NPA – what a great idea!
  • Guest speakers Jennifer Van Dale (attorney) and Sehr Ahmed (CHRO, Mercer) shared valuable insights
  • Brain trust of Andrew Thoseby, Robert Williams, Mark Geary, and Tom Sorensen shared tips on retained search
  • Terrific daily wrap-ups from Aditya Wiwoho, Dennis Lui, and Parvathy Krishnan
  • Lots of excitement for a tentative plan to meet IN PERSON in Bangkok next year

Big thanks to Dave, Veronica and Kristen and Asia Director Carola Chard for a great event. Also thanks to  McQuaig Institute for their support and congratulations to the wonderful Yvonne Kelly for winning the grand prize of a new hire package.

Hope you can join us next year  - perhaps in Bangkok, Thailand.
