As previously announced, Dave is retiring from NPAworldwide effective June 30th. At the recent Global Conference in Salt Lake City, we dedicated time to recognize Dave for his accomplishments and tremendous influence within our global network. We called it “Dave’s Last Hurrah!” During the celebration, several members shared wonderful historical stories of Dave. Some stories were funny, some were endearing, and all were memorable. At the end of the celebration, Dave was presented with an Honorary Membership in NPAworldwide. The following is the wording on the award presented to Dave:
“Dave Nerz joined NPAworldwide as President and COO in January 2006. Throughout his 18-year tenure, NPAworldwide has steadily matured as a leading network for professional recruiters. As President, Dave modernized the sales and marketing functions of the network, developing a recognizable brand. Under his leadership, membership continued to increase at a time when many membership organizations struggled with retention. He orchestrated the acquisition of the NBN and IPA networks as part of this growth strategy, continued the international expansion of the membership, and was instrumental in growing members’ equity. He successfully led NPAworldwide through the Global Financial Crisis of 2008-09 as well as the global pandemic that began in 2020. Dave continuously worked to reduce operational costs without sacrificing member services and tools, and without significant dues impacts. He implemented a sponsorship program that creates value for members through discounted access to a wide range of tools and services, including affordable professional conferences and events.
The Board of Directors is pleased to name Dave Nerz an Honorary Member of NPAworldwide in recognition of his exemplary service to the membership, effective July 1, 2024.

One of Dave’s most enduring contributions to NPAworldwide is his steadfast belief in the power of collaboration. He understood early on that the network's strength lies in its members' synergy. Throughout his tenure, Dave worked tirelessly to foster a culture of mutual support and shared success.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dave is remembered for the personal touches that defined his leadership style. He took the time to know members personally, understand their challenges, and celebrate their successes. His ability to listen, empathize, and provide thoughtful guidance created a sense of trust and camaraderie that has been the bedrock of NPAworldwide’s culture.
To Dave, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Your leadership has been a beacon of wisdom and inspiration. We wish you and Bonnie endless joy and fulfillment as you embark on this new chapter. Congratulations on your retirement, Dave. You will always be a cherished member of the NPAworldwide family.
