As we have just closed out 2023, I would like to share some thoughts/highlights of the year.
- Stay positive - focus on doing the right things and producing at the highest level possible. Do not be “Debbie Downer” — no one wants to work with those types.
- The market does change - anyone that has been in recruiting for any length of time knows the market is always changing. It is how you react to change that makes or breaks you. There is plenty of work out there for those who can handle getting out of their comfort zone.
- Five things I have learned from Practice Group / Area Leader calls and why you are missing out:
- Getting the inside scoop on the job(s) is great
- Get to build relationships with 5-15 folks in a half hour
- Jobs are sometimes better than they look on "paper” and sometimes worse
- Trends in the industry, some great tips for your peers
- Finding out I am not alone in dealing with frustrating clients, candidates and ways to help
