Recently, a member reached out to me because they were unhappy with their NPAworldwide partner. After listening to their concerns, my first thought was to ask if they had picked up the phone and called them. They hadn't, as they were relying on email communication. I encouraged them to make the call.

Just to be sure, I reached out myself, and it became clear that there was no wrongdoing on the partner's part—it was simply a misunderstanding. The partner was actually trying to be helpful, but the tone of their email wasn’t interpreted that way.

Everything worked out in the end, but it was a reminder that emails can sometimes be easily misconstrued. A quick call can often resolve these types of issues and give your NPAworldwide partner the chance to clarify and help. Remember, you will learn more on a phone call or in person than you ever will via email.
