Dear Nicky,

I have to tell you I am getting a bit frustrated with posting jobs. It feels like no one is exporting these days. Used to be if you post them, they will come. Now, nothing.

Pointless in Polkton

Dear Polkton,

Lots of factors at play here. First, anyone can get a job order these days as they are plentiful. The issue is no one can find candidates, which means exporters are extra-picky about where they will spend their time.

Here are some things that will help you get some added value.

  1. Don’t post the client's job of three pages; make it as short and sweet as possible.
  2. Sell the job to your partner. Member notes is a good place to add some sizzle about your client and why they want to work it.
  3. Don’t post the same ten jobs every other day and expect different results, post a few a day and change them up a bit.
  4. Send direct to your NPA partners that work that area.
  5. Reach out to your engagement team if you are still struggling.

Remember, no one wants to work for free. Exporters want to know that they work they do will yield a placement, so be clear about your previous successes, track record, and history with the client. A client relationship that promises quick feedback and an efficient hiring process is sure to attract more attention from your partners. Exclusive jobs are better than non-exclusive. Low fees and salaries that are not competitive are not going to get much attention in this market. Candidates have too many other options.

Nicky
