Does the GDPR apply to Matchmaker and the NPAworldwide Job Board? The answer is yes. Here is a list of the things you need to know about how Matchmaker and the NPAworldwide Job Board are compliant with the new GDPR requirements:

  • NPAworldwide has published a new Privacy Policy that is GDPR-compliant. The new policy is available at both Matchmaker and the NPAworldwide Job Board. Click here to read the new privacy policy: Privacy Policy
  • All new job seekers registering on the NPAworldwide Job Board must accept NPAworldwide’s Privacy Policy before completing their profile and uploading their resume/CV
  • Candidates you invite to self-register under your member code must accept the NPAworldwide Privacy Policy before completing their profile and uploading their resume/CV
  • Job seekers and member-invited candidates who self-register on the NPAworldwide Job Board have direct access to their profile and resume/CV and can delete their profile and resume/CV at will
  • NPAworldwide has contacted registered Job Board candidates to obtain their re-consent to keep their profile and resume/CV on file
  • NPAworldwide records all Privacy Policy acceptances
  • Electronic notification is sent to an EU candidate whenever an NPAworldwide member downloads their resume/CV off Matchmaker
  • Members who work with EU candidates must obtain consent from those candidates to post them on Matchmaker.

Just prior to the May 25, 2018 GDPR deadline, candidates on Matchmaker who reside in EU countries were made inactive to avoid any penalties to the posting member. Once a member has obtained re-consent from their EU candidate the candidate’s profile and resume/CV can be updated and re-posted. Your inactive EU candidates can be found by logging in at Matchmaker and going the Incomplete Profile section of the My Candidates page.
