Dear Nicky,

I emailed some trading partners through Marketplace and got delivery notices back that those email addresses don't exist. Don't you keep your list current?

Dear Puzzled,

Our membership database changes on a daily basis as firms and recruiters come and go. It is incumbent upon owners to update their staff listings and remove access for any recruiters who are no longer employed with their firms (or contact us for assistance). As you've discovered, some are better at this than others. Owners are reminded that they are responsible for any inappropriate access to NPAworldwide systems by their current and former staff members.

It's also important to note that email is not a 100% reliable delivery method. Not all delivery failures generate a failure message to the sender. Some delivery failure messages *look* like permanent failures but are server errors from the recipient's server. These can be tricky to troubleshoot and resolve. So, if you get a failure message, CALL THE PERSON. It's entirely possible they are still there & the failure message is not correct. If you've sent an email and not received a reply OR a delivery failure, CALL THE PERSON. Some email just floats around in cyberspace and never gets delivered. If the recipient doesn't know you sent a message, they can't do anything to fix it. Email delivery issues are becoming more frequent as providers attempt to reduce/limit spam and other unwanted messages.

And owners, PLEASE take a look at your staff listings and delete anyone who is no longer working for your firm. If you need help with this, please contact any member of our Engagement Team (Kelsea, Kristen, Liz, Marcia).

Thanks for writing,

Nicky
