I have been thinking about NPA members and meetings. Zoom is fine but I sure do miss the face-to-face meetings. Are we having one in 2022?
Missing Meetings in Minden

We are certainly grateful for the relative ease with which we've been able to meet virtually via Zoom! We've learned that we can offer value to members and we've also been able to include a host of people who haven't attended face-to-face meetings (often due to the travel requirements). But like you, we definitely miss seeing everyone face-to-face. The Covid pandemic has been crippling for the leisure/travel/hospitality sectors, and the continued uncertainty surrounding travel and in-person events makes it very difficult to plan anything. We had hoped to have a live meeting in Australia next month, for example, but the spread of the Delta variant has led to strict lockdowns across Australia, making it virtually impossible for our meeting to take place as planned.
We are tentatively planning a face-to-face holiday networking event in New York (December 9th) and will have a final decision on that soon. We are moving forward with plans to hold our 2022 Global Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, April 7-9. We are also in the early planning stages for a live event in Barcelona, Spain (June 2022) and hopefully Bangkok, Thailand (Sept/Oct 2022 timeframe).
It's possible that some of these plans will change as health and travel regulations continue to be very fluid. Watch for more information as it becomes available, and we hope to see you at a live event next year.
