Alexis Melody (NPA #6117) has made her first split placement since joining the staff of Agility Recruiting in Walnut Creek, CA, USA. Alexis placed a Finance Director in the Accounting Industry, provided by Brad Dodge (NPA #4057) of iLocatum Recruiting in San Diego, CA, USA.
Brad explains how the deal came about: "I remember noticing the jobs of her agency, Agility Recruiting last year. They were in an industry and a location we often work, and their job descriptions are well written and to the point, with key information to help a candidate recruiter. They seem to have excellent relationships and understanding of their clients. I first had a nice conversation with her colleague at Agility, Dan Rein, and liked their relaxed style and way of working."
"Each time we’d work a job, we’d get great action on our good candidates and good feedback on our bad ones," Brad said. "The Finance Director job description noted it was in education and specifically for a charter school in Oakland; and the office was a block from the BART station to help the commute. These type of details make it easier to understand what we are looking for, and to draw in the right candidates. When we finally shared a good candidate to Alexis, she was very decisive about the candidate and drove the process forward, keeping us updated with a very positive attitude throughout. This is such a great example about how important a well-written job description is, and why the 'Recruiter Comments' section is a MUST in filling out! Adding key details like Alexis did (anything about the client, company culture, location, the relationship you have with the client, their turnaround time, etc) is only going to help your partner out in finding the perfect candidate for your job!
