Ian placed Blair's candidate, a Business Development Manager in Australia.
Ian explains how the deal came about: "We met for the first time at the NPA owners conference in Queensland late last year. We got on well over a few beers, and a couple of weeks later Blair spotted a LinkedIn post I’d put up, looking for Business Development Managers for a couple of my finance industry clients in Melbourne and Sydney. He asked if I’d mind if he had a look for suitable candidates for me and, as I’d been having no luck at all, I was happy for him to have a go.
"To be honest I was initially a bit sceptical as it was a very candidate tight market, but I didn’t realise what a great headhunter he was, and a week or so later he presented me with the perfect candidate for my Melbourne based role. Happy days!
"We’ve since done another split, again for a Business Development Manager, this time for a Brisbane based role. I think this time I called him to see if he could work his magic :) Again, once he understood the type of person I was looking for and the background they should have, he absolutely nailed it and delivered another great candidate to me!"
