Ed Greenwood (NPA #8626) has made his first split placement since joining the staff of etonHR in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Ed placed an HR Business Partner, provided by Kane McCard (NPA #8407) of MConsulting in Adelaide, South Australia.
Kane explains how the deal came about: "Ed mentioned on the AU Owner’s WhatsApp group that he had a Sydney-based client that might need a hand in South Australia looking to appoint a mid-level HR role. I messaged Ed and immediately there was feeling that we worked similarly with clients in style and approach and his contact worked for an organization that we were already familiar with. Ed felt comfortable in facilitating an introduction for us to pitch exclusively for the role and we were appointed to assist with the role on an Exclusive Retained basis that included advertising the role in South Australia. Ed’s advice was treating the client like one of our own and we agreed to twice weekly email updates and Ed was kind enough to allow us to take full ownership of the recruitment process. The end result was uniquely NPA with a client appointing a team member 1300 km’s away which was facilitated by a local NPA member and candidate they could not meet in person due to COVID-19 border restrictions. Ed was generous in allowing us to work with his client and manage the process and importantly we were able to transition the client relationship back to Ed at the conclusion of the recruitment process. We have stayed in touch since the placement with Ed taking time out in 2022 to look at opportunities across our shared network in South Australia and I look forward to the chance of working together again and wish Ed continued success within the NPA network."
This is a great example of utilizing your NPA partners to help fill your client's needs outside of your geographic area. Great work, Kane and Ed!
