Tom Sorensen (NPA #8588) of Tom Sorensen Recruitment Co. in Bangkok, Thailand, has made the firm’s first split placement with Zeny Ramirez (NPA #8419) of Employment Vietnam, in Vietnam. Tom placed Zeny’s candidate, an Airfreight Manager in Logistics in Vietnam.
Tom explains how the deal came about: "A simple birthday greeting was the reason for me reaching out to the Regional Director of South East Asia. The company is an old client of mine, a European based freight forwarding and logistics company. Honestly, I had no ulterior motive for wishing him a happy birthday. During our chat, he mentioned he was struggling to find a new Airfreight Manager for their company in Vietnam. So for the first time since I joined NPAworldwide (9 months earlier), I quickly saw the opportunity to offer our service.
"With his acceptance to offer our assistance, I looked up Vietnam on NPA Central and found two NPA partner firms. I liked the complete profile of Employment Vietnam and emailed Zeny Ramirez if she could help. With Zeny's team of Henry and Elisa, we connected with the client in a joint Zoom call to take the job briefing. The rest is history as they say. A couple of weeks later one of our shortlisted candidates was interviewed and then offered the job. Pure magic and showed the power of our network.
