Rimas Cikotas (NPA #2174) of CyRAD Solutions in Chantilly, VA, USA, has made the firm’s first NPA split placement. Rimas placed a Wireless Network Architect in the Telecommunications Industry, provided by Chris McAvoy (NPA #1420) of McAvoy Consulting in Saint James, NY, USA.
Rimas shared the news of his split with NPA: "All good things come to those who wait or don't give up. Since attending the annual meeting in Atlanta I was confident that it was only a matter of time until I had my 1st successful NPA split and I'm thrilled to report that it's a juicy one."

Rimas said he met Chris at the Global Conference in Atlanta in 2023. They hit it off and stayed in touch, and had several candidates interview since then, but no placements.

Rimas explains how this placement came about: "For this Wireless Network Architect search, Chris had presented another candidate that made it all the through to onsite interviews, we were both crossing our fingers but, as the cookie crumbles in this industry, he didn’t make the cut to get an offer. Deflated but not defeated, Chris recalibrated, got back in the trenches and sourced this rock solid candidate that I was able to get presented and fast tracked through the interview process. Thankfully from the many candidates they had interviewed he was the chosen one, they made him an offer that exceeded the top end range of the salary.

"This placement was not only our 1st NPA split together (my 1st split since joining in 2023) but at $70,000 is the biggest fee I’ve ever billed. Great teamwork, we were dialed into the nuances of what this client really wanted in this role and nailed it," Rimas said. "It’s highly unlikely that if we hadn’t met personally in Atlanta and built a trusted relationship over time that this glorious split would have happened."

This really goes to show that nothing beats meeting your trading partners face-to-face! And what great timing - glad you both are attending the Global Conference in Philadelphia this week and will be able to celebrate your placement... and hopefully work on more together!
