Roddy Tierney (NPA #1403) has made his first split placement since joining the staff of Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions in Poughkeepsie, NY, USA. Robbye placed a Product Compliance Engineer in the Engineering Industry, provided by Eli Langston (NPA #1346) of Provision People in San Diego, CA, USA.
Eli explains how the deal came to be: "This placement was all about connections, clear communication, and quick movement. I met Roddy through Tony Triolo, another trusted NPA partner that I have made a handful of splits with. Even if I am not actively working on jobs with Tony, I stay connected with him and do general "check-ins" to see how everything is going. Tony brought it to my attention that he had a new partner, Roddy. Roddy and I became acquainted and made sure we fully had expectations set from both the client side, and candidate side. This made everything really efficient between us. Roddy has a great relationship with his client (which is incredibly important) and was able to provide real-time, quick updates for my candidates. He was very proactive with keeping candidates moving and also keeping me in the loop with the movement. One thing led to another and we got a placement! Roddy is a pleasure to work with. He is motivated, efficient, professional, and fun! He embodies everything we stand for in NPA - which creates splits! "

Roddy said: "I was fortunate enough to get connected with Eli through a colleague of mine here at Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions, Tony Triolo. Tony introduced me to NPA and all the resources that came with it, and I knew I had to tap in somehow. Eli and Tony worked a lot together in the past with much success, so I trusted Eli early on, and boy did he deliver! I had spent some time sourcing for a tricky Verification Engineer role without getting candidates into 2nd round interviews. I opened it up to Eli and gave him the rundown of what our client was specifically looking for, and where other candidates fell short. He relayed that info to his team, and I within the next couple days he sent a local candidate that checked off all the boxes! One thing led to another and before we knew it, that first candidate was signing the offer letter and starting in his new position. The rare ‘one and done’ is a beautiful thing when it happens, and that’s exactly what Eli and his team delivered. Eli’s efficiency, clear communication, and personality made him easy and great to work with. I will definitely look to continue working with Eli and NPA in the future, as I see the tremendous value the group provides."

Eli mentioned something very important to building successful partnerships like these - setting clear expectations up front. A lot of the issues we hear is because of unmet expectations and/or lack of communication. This example shows how important it is to continuously work on relationships with your trading partners!
