Robbie Bishop (NPA #7419) of KaB Executive Search Consultants in Toronto, ONT, Canada, and Vikki MacQueen (NPA #8583) of Omni International in Bangkok, Thailand, have each made their firm’s first NPA split placement. Robbie placed Vikki’s candidate, a Water Department Manager in the Machinery / Heavy Equipment industry in Canada.
Vikki explains how the deal came about: "We had been members of NPA for 1-year and of course due to COVID our progress as members of this prestigious network had been effected.  Typically our work lies in 2 domains - either domestic recruitment in Thailand or mobilisation of expatriates (all nationalities) for work in Asia, Middle East & Europe as our main markets. I saw the Water Department Manager role in the Caribbean posted at Matchmaker and was immediately in touch with Robbie from KaB Consultants. We had a really lovely Zoom call to chat and discuss in more detail, which was a total pleasure as we discovered a common experience in our history... funnily enough again at Club Med, the same place where I met Jason Elias. We launched the search which we were very lucky to be able to close with a great Irish candidate who was located in Ireland. This was followed closely by a 2nd Split with Robbie for a Power Plant Supervisor with the same Client in the same location. Another British candidate who was at that time located on a remote project in the Egyptian desert.  From Scotland to Canada, to Ireland to the deserts of Egypt to the Caribbean... all in these much-changed days of COVID was really inspiring and we were just delighted to have this success story through this wonderful network!! Looking forward to many more."

What a great story! It really highlights the benefits of an international recruiting network and the partnerships that can come from it!
