Matt Wyatt (NPA #4052) of Proconnx in Racine, WI, USA, has made the firm’s first split placement with Brent Barth (NPA #1368) of bizjobz, LLC in Plainview, NY, USA - this was also Brent's first NPA split!

Matt placed Brent’s candidate, an SGA Associate in the Accounting Industry in the US.

Matt explains how the deal came about: "As a fellow NPA member, it was great connecting with Brent Barth, Vice President of BizJobz, in May 2020 (about a month or so after Proconnx had joined NPA) as he is also a veteran, giving us further common ground.  Brent had reached out about our SALT Manager position which we had collaborated on together, initially.  With public accounting being a tough space to work in, Brent sources high quality candidates and delivers results.  Just recently (towards the end of July), we had received an SGA Experienced Associate role with the same client that Brent has found a great match relatively quickly for.  Thankfully, some of Proconnx's opportunities have been and remain able to be performed remotely, allowing room to navigate 2020's challenges.  Proconnx is certainly excited to continue with current and future endeavors with BizJobz and being a part of NPAworldwide."

Brent added: "BizJobz, LLC, joined NPA over a year ago thanks to our President's (Jason Kaminsky) foresight and persistence.  Since then I have worked with several other members of NPA primarily in the Accounting and Finance area throughout the Eastern USA.  I received a job alert for one of Matt Wyatt’s Accounting management positions at a CPA firm in Atlanta, reached out to him and he graciously asked me to assist him with this search.  Since we are both veterans, we quickly developed a good working relationship.  While sourcing for the management role at the firm, Matt also informed me that they were looking for a Service Advisory Group Accountant as well.  I subsequently did a thorough search to fill that role using multiple sources / tools and found the ideal candidate who was interested in making a move in her career.  I worked with Matt throughout the process by prepping her for the phone and Zoom interviews.  The hiring manager and her team were ecstatic about my candidate's credentials and expertise and offered her the position for which she starts on September 8th.  I thank NPA for having the systems in place which encourage us to work with other team members, and I also thank Matt who kept me posted in a very timely fashion throughout the process."

Congrats to you both on your first NPA placement.... here's to many more!
