Jim Laurenzo of Simplified Search (#4427) in Chicago (USA) is one of our Hall of Fame members and a Double Platinum achiever. We asked Jim to share a little bit of his background so you can get to know him better.
What is your current specialty focus?
Engineering and operations management in plastics and chemicals.
How did you get into recruiting?
When I moved to Chicago, my brothers and brother-in-law owned a recruiting agency, plus I knew Terry Doyle from Advanced Search Group.
What is your #1 tip for how to work NPAworldwide?
Quality candidates! Not job hoppers, 2-3 jobs. Their reason for leaving makes sense. Relocation expectations are solid and include a sizeable area where there are jobs. Salary is not overblown. Don't fall into age discrimination, but recognize that opportunities for retirees are limited.
What is your favorite hobby?
Sports, especially Chicago Cubs baseball. This picture is from a Chicago Bears game last year (American football) - this year, they are going to win the Super Bowl!
