Today's guest writer is Phil Chappel, newly-elected Practice Group Director.

Making split placements resulting in more revenue is one of the biggest reasons to be an NPAworldwide member. As we know, engagement with partners is key to success. There are many ways to interact with partners including posting jobs and/or candidates on NPAmarketplace or calling them directly.

Another great way to engage and start to build relationships with trading partners is by attending monthly Practice Group meetings. It does not matter what your area of specialization or niche may be, we have a Practice or Specialty Group that can help increase your revenue. Joining these monthly Zoom meetings will not only introduce you to partners who recruit in the same or similar areas, but it will help you to develop relationships, which will usually result in split placements. During these short meetings, members discuss their hottest jobs and candidates as well as what they are seeing in the market. Whether you are a jobs recruiter or a candidate recruiter, partners must know what positions you need to fill or what your availability to provide help is on a regular basis. These groups include:

I suggest joining whatever group(s) fit your practice, add the meetings to your calendar as a recurring activity, login and participate in as many as possible. You might meet someone who will become a friend for life and some money along the way!
In summary, attending Practice Group meetings gives exposure to jobs recruiters who have hot positions to fill and candidate recruiters who have time to find great candidates. You will develop long-term relationships, be more successful and have true partners- members who can be relied on to make splits with and who are happy to help and give advice.

If you have suggestions, comments or questions, I am always happy to chat. Do you have an idea for a new practice or specialty group? Should we consider expanding an existing group? Is there anything we can be doing better? Please let me know.
