Today we had our first NPAworldwide Board of Directors meeting also attended by practice group and area leaders. It was wonderful to have so many members from around the globe. Despite unfriendly time zones, we had attendees from India, South Africa, Hong Kong, Australia, Brazil, USA, UK, Ukraine, and Canada.

The aim of the call was to increase transparency in the organisation and to let practice group and area leaders understand the functions of the board and how we govern our organisation.

We also gave these leaders an opportunity to share what is happening in their practice groups and areas. Feedback was that things are going well, but there are lessons we can learn from each other on topics of interest, increasing engagement and helping to facilitate more splits.

We also noted the high correlation between volunteer leaders in NPAworldwide and success in making splits. There is no coincidence that by volunteering you have higher visibility, which leads to higher credibility and ultimately higher profitability.

As a member-owned organisation, we are always on the lookout for volunteers for roles on the board, area leaders and practice group leaders. If you are interested in becoming more involved in our network please reach out to Pam Robison.
