We have logos and other images available in a wide variety of formats, for a wide variety of member uses. Here is a quick tip on the difference between JPG and PNG file formats:
- JPG images are on a white background. JPG does not support image transparency, although it is possible to convert some JPGs to transparent.
- JPG images are "lossy" which means some of the original image data (quality) is permanent removed to reduce the file size.
- All of the PNG images we create are transparent, so there is no "white square" surrounding them.
- PNG images are "lossless" which means they reduce the file size by permanently removing unnecessary metadata (instead of pixels).
