The idea of trading is as old as civilisation. You have something I need - say a carrot  and I have something you need say peas. By collaborating we are each better off.

So the idea of sharing job orders and candidates is nothing novel. There are a number of split fee networks and tech platforms. Seems like every week I receive an email from a new “game-changing” provider. Some will do well, some won’t. However the difference between them and us is monumental.

NPAworldwide is a member-owned cooperative. Our raison d’être is to help our members make more money via splits. Many of our services, eg the job board, are run at a loss to the network because they provide value for members.

Our conferences are often run at a loss or break even when other networks use their conferences as their main revenue raising tool.

In fact every dollar from our events, dues and brokerage is plugged into the network - extra services, new systems and our investment fund (which is at a record high). There is no faceless corporate entity gouging profits.

The other big difference is that NPAworldwide is run not only for, but by, its members. All leadership roles are run by volunteers from within our membership, ably assisted by the team at Grand Rapids (and beyond).

Due to Covid this year our annual meeting will be held virtually. This means that those who previously were unable to make the face-to-face meeting now have a unique opportunity to attend the annual meeting and have a voice. So don’t forget to register by April 12th - and if you are attending the Annual Meeting portion, remember there is a separate ticket required for that session.

Because we live on a sphere, it is not possible to find a meeting time that will suit all regions. Consequently if you cannot attend, make sure you still have your say. Voting Members, please be sure to submit your proxies by April 5th, 2021 - contact Veronica Blatt if you need another copy of the proxy information.

Hope to see as many of you as possible.
