Dear Nicky,

I am frustrated that I just asked for urgent assistance on a job and no one is helping!!!

Frustrated in Fremont

Dear Fremont,

There are many factors that could be causing this. For one, have you checked your job against the posted candidates in NPAmarketplace? If you don't see any candidates that could potentially match, that could be an indicator that your job isn't one that members can assist on. What about the other job parameters? If the salary or fee are low, or it's in a tough geography, that could also make it difficult to attract a partner's attention. If you *do* see candidates that could potentially match, have you contacted the posting recruiters directly to share your job? If you've just posted it and are hoping someone will see your urgent request, that's not a great strategy.

From what I see with members from time to time, they get frustrated & angry when they suddenly need urgent assistance from the network; however, they haven't put in the groundwork to establish any trading relationships. Their roles sometimes get overlooked as members favor 'active' members, those who they have met or spoken to or even seen their branding regularly. Visibility is so important even when you don't have a job/candidate requirement.
