In NPA we have the old school, the guns blazing new ones excited to make things happen and some with just a little seasoning.  What do you mean by that you say?
We have members that have been recruiting for 20+ years, have their way and know what it takes to make splits happen. Then there are the new recruiters who have been in the business for under 5 years but go getters ready to push forward and make things happen.  In between those extremes are the ones that have enough recruiting experience to know what they are doing but not seasoned enough to get it all right. So here are some Pro Tips for working with all types.
 
  • Not everyone works like you
  • Compromise is a good thing
  • Communication solves MOST recruiting mishaps
  • If you don’t like the way someone works move on
  • Set expectations up front
Because people work so different, it’s important to set expectations up front. For example, an importer like Steve Morris doesn’t mind being sent just the resume and then taking it & running / doing all the work. But other importers expect a full write-up up front.
