Today we're starting a new feature to help keep everyone "on the same page" with some of the basics and best practices surrounding NPAworldwide split placement activity. Policies change from time to time and everyone can use an occasional reminder to make sure everyone understands and follows the safeguards that members have put in place over our 70-year history.

Acceptance reports for all placement activity within NPAworldwide (direct-hire, contract, or job board) must be filed within seven (7) days of the candidate's acceptance of the offer. The job-side recruiter has the primary responsibility for this activity. HOWEVER, if by day 7 the acceptance report has not been filed, it then becomes the responsibility of the candidate-side recruiter to submit the report. Once the report is submitted, the partner firm also receives an electronic copy of the report. Please be mindful of this joint responsibility. Failure to report acceptances can result in disciplinary actions for both partners, up to and including expulsion or voiding a claim for indemnification in the event of non-payment. The 5% brokerage fee that is collected is a major source of revenue for NPAworldwide that is used to fund the network's operations, so it is imperative that everyone has good systems in place to ensure that all placements are reported, and all brokerage paid, on time.
