Dear Nicky,

I’ve been working with an NPA partner who has been rock solid – providing me great candidates quickly, and they are great at communicating and feedback. The problem is, none of the candidates have landed for one reason or another (i.e. the client went with an internal candidate, etc). I appreciate this partner and feel bad that despite all the work they’ve been doing; we have been striking out through no fault of either of us. How do I express to this partner that I appreciate their time and efforts? I want them to keep working on my roles in the future!!

Hi Teammate,

That is GREAT that you have found a consistent and reliable NPA partner to work with! There are a few ways to show your appreciation to your partner’s efforts:

The next time you have a job order, go straight to this partner to have them give it the first ‘go.’ You could let them know that you are giving them a certain amount of time, for example 2 weeks, to work on it before opening it up to the entire network by posting the job on Marketplace.

Some partners opt to pay their partner even if there isn’t a placement involved, for that exact reason – you are paying them for their time and efforts, in hopes that they will continue to provide that same service on a future search.

You can give them a public “shout out” through NPA’s Share the Love campaign: Share the Love, or NPA’s Cause for Applause recognition form
