As the year ticks over in 2022, it’s a great time for reflection and resolutions.

Despite the global pandemic and massive uptick in cases from Omicron, NPAworldwide members have reason to celebrate. Some highlights include:

  • Members shared more than US $10 million in fees
  • We had our first in-person meeting since March of 2020 in NYC
  • NPAworldwide had a record year of splits…465…many members reported 2021 as a career high-water mark for success

It is also a great time for resolutions, and I am not referring to that new diet or exercise regime (although I should after having packed on a few extra covid pounds).

Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. So what can we all do differently to get more out of NPAworldwide this year? Here are a few suggestions you may want to try to make more splits:

  1. Set a goal- aim to make X splits per quarter.
  2. Reach out to a suitable “competitor” in your industry and see if you can get them to join the network. They are more likely to have jobs and roles you can fill and better they are “in the tent” and you have the bylaws to protect you
  3. Test out the new Oorwin system. The replacement for Matchmaker is not too far away. Once launched, get behind it and use it to add your jobs and candidates and make more splits
  4. Take advantage of the job board. It’s candidate-short across many industries and geographies; why not use a resource that has no risk and no upfront costs?
  5. Volunteer- research says the happiest people volunteer

It is no coincidence that many of the network’s highest billers also volunteer as directors, area or practice group leaders. Increasing your visibility means increasing your credibility and profitability.

Wishing you all the best for a healthy, rewarding and satisfying year ahead.
