It’s the summer season for a lot of members, and I’ve talked to a few lately who say it feels like things have slowed down so much that they might as well vacation until 2026.
This reminds me of something a member said years ago during a similar slowdown, he mentioned that some of his best placements happened when others were pulling back. Why? Because he stayed positive and proactive. While others waited, he kept reaching out, staying visible, and building relationships with members, potential clients, and candidates.
Slow periods can be frustrating to recruiters, most of whom are type “A” personalities in a hurry to get there. But, in reality, they’re also opportunities to do more outreach with clients and candidates, as they might have more time to talk.
Now is time to plant seeds that will grow into results later on. You know your niche, so build relationships while you can.
If you’ve been thinking about pressing pause, maybe consider this: what small step could you take today that your future self will thank you for in Q4 or maybe into 2026!!!
