In a member-owned organization like NPAworldwide, the Board of Directors represents the membership and helps guide the network’s direction, priorities, and long-term success. The Nominating Committee plays an essential role in identifying qualified members who can fulfill these responsibilities and act in the best interests of the organization.
The committee is composed of two past Board Chairs, one current sitting Board Director, and one member at large. This combination brings valuable perspective to the nomination process. Past Chairs contribute leadership experience and institutional knowledge; the current Director understands the Board’s present needs and challenges; and the member at large provides a broader membership perspective.
The current Board Chair appoints the Chair of the Nominating Committee, who is responsible for guiding the committee’s work in accordance with the requirements outlined in the bylaws. Following those requirements supports a consistent and fair process that strengthens member confidence in the organization’s governance.
Careful candidate selection helps balance the experience and institutional knowledge of continuing Board members with the fresh ideas, relevant skills, and diverse perspectives that new Directors bring. By considering candidates’ leadership abilities, commitment to service, and understanding of our global membership, the Nominating Committee helps build a Board that can make sound decisions, respond to changing member needs, and guide NPAworldwide’s continued growth and success.
Thank you to the Nominating Committee for the time, energy, and care you dedicate to this important process. Your work helps build strong leadership and supports the continued success of NPAworldwide and its members
