Hello all,

With the vaccine starting to rollout in many countries and coronavirus case numbers declining, hopefully it is the beginning of the end of the pandemic.

Whilst the virus will sadly still prevent us from meeting face-to-face this year for our global meeting, every cloud has a silver lining—especially snow clouds. Our scheduled destination of Fort Worth, Texas has had a devastating cold snap - parts of Texas reached 0 degrees F (-18 C) so we may have dodged an icy bullet there.

For the first time, the conference will be held virtually, on April 14-15, 2021.

This means many members who have previously been unable to attend in-person in North America can participate and finally witness how awesome the conferences are. It is also a very cost-effective way for consultants to attend; hear some great trainers and start networking with their peers to encourage more splits. Tickets are available for just US $49 for an individual or US $69 for your entire office.

Our annual meeting will begin at 5:45PM US ET on Thursday, April 15, 2021 to accommodate as many time zones as possible. For those not able to make it, or understandably prefer sleeping than listening to a Treasurer’s Report (sorry Jim), proxies will be available as usual.

We will have a variety of topical discussions and some interesting speakers from around the world, including Gary Stauble, Katrina Collier and Katrina Kibben. Practice groups are encouraged to hold their own sessions during the week of April 12-16 in place of the normal face-to-face meetings that happen as part of the Global Conference.

So while it is no substitute for hanging out in person at a Texan bar over some ice cool Dos Equis beers, we will have some great fun. Everyone’s favourite “plus one,” Tim Laird - America’s Chief Entertainment Officer, will be showcasing his cocktail teaching skills so we can all share a refreshing drink together from the comforts of our own home. Perhaps we should all run out and buy some little paper drink vouchers to make it more familiar.

So let’s make the most of what will be an opportunity for a truly Global Conference. I for one, won’t miss the airline food or 20-hour flight in coach.

So make sure to save the dates in your calendar and I genuinely hope to see you and your teams virtually for what will surely be an historic and jam-packed Global Conference.

In the meantime; happy splitting.
