Policy and Protocols for 2023 Global Conference

NPAworldwide is preparing for our Global Conference so that all individuals onsite – attendees, speakers, staff, and venue personnel – remain safe, healthy, and comfortable throughout the event. During the event, we will be following the current guidelines recommended by the CDC. If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 you should follow the CDC’s Interim Public Health Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People. Otherwise, people who are not vaccinated should use prevention strategies, such as wearing masks, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and respiratory etiquette. Our decisions and preventive measures are guided by the requirements and recommendations by both the CDC and local health authorities which NPAworldwide will monitor as conditions change and decide if protocols will change. The responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment is shared among NPAworldwide staff, venue, and attendees.

You should NOT attend the event if you:

  • are experiencing, or within the 10 days prior have experienced, signs and symptoms of COVID-19;
  • believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19; and/or
  • have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for your treatment.

All event participants are required to abide by all applicable COVID19-related requirements, advisories, policies, procedures, and protocols of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state of Texas, and our local hotel venue as well as any other governmental authority for the duration of their stay.

Any person disclosing or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or knowingly exposed to the disease, will be refused admittance to the event. Those who refuse to comply with the Code of Conduct and the required safety protocols will also be asked to leave the event. All participants must understand that by attending the NPAworldwide Global Conference, they may be exposing themselves to or increasing their risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19 despite NPAworldwide's safety precautions, and that such exposure or infection may result in quarantine requirements. Further, attendees must also understand that they are giving up any right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, based upon claims of negligence.
