My granddaughter applied for a job a bit out of her area of expertise. She went for the interview, and they loved her. They wanted her to interview with their consultant as it was a new business, and again she did well. The next day they told her she is great and would like to have her interview with the President coming in from Florida, again she does well. They let her know she would hear from someone by the end of the day. Well day came and went, next day as well then day three still no word. She sent a follow-up with no response. I told her not to take the job if they didn’t even have the consideration to reply; she did not want to work there as their employees were not worth their time.
I guess I am saying all this as one of the biggest frustrations in the recruiting world is lack of communication. Don’t leave your NPAworldwide partners pacing the floor trying to figure out whether their candidate got the job as the candidate is calling/emailing them. Even if the feedback is no feedback, because that is feedback. Say that three times fast 😊. It leaves you with a bad reputation and others will not want to work for you or your client again. As they say, you only get one shot at making a good first impression.
