We have recently changed the name of the Candidate field ‘Percentage of Client Fee’ to 'Minimum Client Fee for Submission' to help alleviate any confusion when entering or viewing candidates.

This field, which is on the Add Candidate form and the view candidate detail page, actually refers to the fee the job-side recruiter would receive from the client.  It is frequently misunderstood as being the split percentage between trading partners (which is always 47.5% to each partner, with the remaining 5% paid to NPAworldwide as brokerage).

With this field, candidate-side recruiters are able to say they won't accept "less than" a particular client fee for the placement of a particular candidate. That is what gets entered into this field. If you put "any" it means you will accept 47.5% of any fee the job-side recruiter collects from the client. If you put 25%, it lets the job-side recruiter know they may not submit that candidate for any role that involves a client fee that is less than 25%. In other words, if the fee arrangement is 20% or a flat-fee of $10,000, your candidate may not be submitted for that role.

So keep this in mind when entering your candidates into Marketplace, and please take a look at any candidates you have previously entered, as we have a lot in the system that say "50%" in that field... I have yet to see a job posted with a 50% fee laugh
