Greetings, NPAworldwide. This Chairman's Corner is my last as your Chair. At the upcoming Annual Business Meeting on 7 March, I will be turning over the Chair to my good friend Pam Robison. I will then move to the Immediate Past Chair seat until the 2025 Annual Business Meeting.
Serving as your Chair has been an honor and privilege. I would like to thank all of my fellow board members past and present for their support and guidance. And of course a big thank you and shout to our remarkable NPAworldwide Staff.
As we get ready to welcome our new President Kerry Crockett to NPAworldwide, I would like to take a moment to recognize our retiring President, the one and only Dave Nerz. NPAworldwide has come a long way under Dave's leadership. On behalf of the entire NPAworldwide Family—thanks Dave, job well done!!!!!!!
Lastly, I would like to thank our departing Board Members, Carola Chard, Tim Lane and Roman Duty for their service to NPAworldwide. I have asked them to share some parting thoughts below.
Tim Lane
“As I reflect on my four years serving as a board member, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching experience and the collective achievements we've witnessed during my tenure. It has been an honour to contribute to strategic decision-making, governance, and the overall direction of our organisation. Collaborating with fellow board members, executives, and stakeholders has not only broadened my perspective but has also reinforced the importance of effective leadership in navigating challenges and fostering growth. Witnessing the positive impact of our collective efforts on the organisation's mission has been immensely rewarding. As I step down from my role, I leave with a sense of pride and confidence in the continued success and resilience of the board, knowing that the seeds planted during my term will flourish in the capable hands of my esteemed colleagues.

"After 4 years I will be departing the board in March and Jenn Anderson, owner of Prestige Recruiting Firm is the nominee for the vacant seat. When I was initiated in March of 2020 at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, borders were literally being closed because of COVID. This ushered in a depth of uncertainty in the recruiting world that many of us had never experienced. The last four years have been a roller coaster. During this time the Board spent countless hours coming up with solutions to successfully navigate COVID and NPAworldwide became a lifeline to many with split placements. It has been extremely rewarding to be a part of the NPAworldwide leadership during this time, as by the end of 2022 NPA was experiencing record profits and splits. I have enjoyed working with people from all across the world and have made many lasting friendships. I will miss my time interacting with the wonderful leadership but I am confident that the board, executive committee (Chaired by Jim Lyons) and new President will continue to make NPAworldwide the most successful recruiting network in the world."
Carola Chard
"It is with a blend of pride, appreciation, and gratitude that I recently presented my final NPA Board Report for the Asia Region after four years of serving as Director ASIA. Over these past four years, we have navigated challenges, celebrated victories, and grown stronger as a community. As my tenure draws to a close, I am honored to reflect on our collective achievements and share insights for the future.
With the collaboration of our dedicated Area Leaders, Country Leaders, Practice Group Leaders, and the unwavering support of the NPA Staff, the Asia Region has witnessed remarkable growth and resilience, despite the adversities posed by the Covid crisis, I extend my deepest appreciation to each member for your commitment and collaboration, which have propelled us forward in the face of unprecedented challenges.
Looking ahead, we are poised to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities in the region. From the diversification of supply chains to the growing demand for talent in sustainability and environmental engineering, our network is primed to seize upon new avenues for growth and collaboration."
