Anupam Bhattacharya (NPA #8690) of Invictus Search Pte Ltd in Singapore, has made the firm’s first NPA split placement. Anupam provided a Deputy Director Standard Development in the Agriculture Industry to Fang Kai Low (NPA #8520) of VHR Consultancy in Malaysia.
Anupam said he met FK at the NPA Asia conference in Kuala Lumpur recently.
Anupam said: "What struck me about FK was his infectious enthusiasm, passion and his ability to strike a rapport with almost everyone in the meeting. He was quick to see an opportunity when I mentioned that I specialize in the food and agribusiness sector as he had just got a search from a company that was a key player in this sector. After we started working on the search, there was complete trust and transparency on how we worked. FK would be communicating very quickly when things changed at the client's end and I would do the same with the candidate's end. This speed and sense of urgency helped us to close the search within 60 days which is probably a record as the candidate pool was very limited and the client was extremely choosy. I am working on a few other opportunities with FK and hopefully we may close another split by this year-end. Thanks to NPA for introducing me to not only a business partner but a great friend as well."
FK added: "While we had a good time in Melaka A Famosa tour, we spoke about our search specialization. Though a casual dialogue, we immediately come across that there is a potential search opportunity in RSPO that we can work together. Right after the event, we exchanged notes and started the search immediately. Working with Anupam is a good experience. He is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in his field and he had given valuable feedback in sourcing candidate. Look forward to having more splits with Anupam."
