I wish this note finds you in great health & spirits.
I feel so deeply honored & privileged to be your Director – Asia and am very happy to be writing to you in this new role.
I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you members across various geographies, the Nominating Committee the current & past Board of Directors, the Area Leaders, outgoing and incoming President, Dave Nerz & Kerry Crockett respectively, the Asia Pacific Operations Manager, Kristen Davie & rest of team at headquarters. I also wish to give a special mention of our one & only Carola Chard, who did an amazing job as our Director-Asia for the past 4 years! Thank you for your faith & trust reposed upon me.
Given I have succeeded Carola, cliched though it may sound, I know I have big shoes to fill. She wrote to the Asia membership a few days back, a very detailed letter on how the Asia region has been growing. With that strong base in place, thanks to the efforts of all my predecessors, I intend to build further on it and work on the progress of our region, even while promoting collaborations between regions and make it truly global in every sense. In other words, global promotion with regional work for enhancing the quantity & quality of splits.
While I go about my duties & put a loose plan in place for, I will always be a Work-in-Progress; I welcome you to email me directly, should you have anything of consequence/pertinence that you wish I ought to attend to/consider. As many of you may be aware, I believe in strong, prompt & effective communication.
I am hugely motivated & committed to serve our members & network well and honor my duties. I am so looking forward to working along with our new chair Pam Robison & rest of the Board of Directors & Staff.
NPAworldwide, its nearly 70 years of history, its members & members’ stories have kept me inspired for 15 years; now, even more so, for, I know that together, we win!
