I wanted to share some excerpts from emails/calls I have been getting lately (the names have been removed to protect the innocent)
- At the final interview stage, the employer instituted a hiring freeze
- Job was filled internally
- Thanks, Job went on hold
- Not accepting more candidates
- Emailed back 2 days later that the position was filled
I completely understand that these things happen. What I don’t understand is why members aren’t keeping their jobs updated with members and on the Marketplace.
Then we have the other side of things, members sending an email that says, 'I noticed your job for an XXX and am starting to work on it.' Really?
No conversation, no questions, no checking to see if the job is even still active, just jumping in blind. This doesn’t help you build long-term relationships. A quick call can make a big impact.
