LinkedIn has announced a significant change in their approach to jobs posted by search and staffing agencies. Starting in August, free job postings (also referred to as Basic / Limited Listings) by third-party recruiters will no longer appear on LinkedIn. Instead, recruiters will be required to pay to sponsor their jobs through LinkedIn Recruiter or Job Slots subscriptions for visibility. For further details on this change, recruiters are encouraged to review LinkedIn's Third-Party Job Listing and Job Site Inclusion Guidelines.

NPA's paid advertising for members' roles will remain unaffected, and the new policy should help the performance of these roles due to less "noise." NPA's basic jobs/limited listings will no longer be visible. Therefore, it is advantageous for you to post your jobs and regularly refresh / keep your postings up to date!

Some stats on NPA members' jobs from LinkedIn:

  • On average, job slots receive 20x more job views from targeted recommendations than basic jobs. Over the last year, NPA's paid job slots received 57,984 recommendation-driven views across the feed, mobile app, and emails
  • 1 in 4 of NPA's paid job slot views came from a targeted job recommendation to a passive candidate
  • NPAworldwide ranks 1 out of 8 for engagement of engineering talent

As a reminder, please don't click on your own (or other members') job postings on LinkedIn/Indeed/Reach/etc., as we pay-per-click.
