Dear Nicky

I am mostly a job recruiter and post my jobs in NPA. I have noticed I am not getting many views or calls. What am I doing wrong?

Jobs in Jerome

Dear Jerome,

Glad you are posting; not only do members see the jobs, but staff does as well. One contributing factor is that we are in vacation season for many members, so there are fewer people working right now.

Here are some other things that can help:

  1. Make sure the job is not too long but has the “sell factor”
  2. Fill in the Private notes to members to let your partners know about your client
    • Have you done business with this client before?
    • How prompt are they about feedback?
    • What is your commitment to me about feedback?
  3. Target the right trading partners and reach out directly to build those key relationships
    • Search the Marketplace recruiter database or call your engagement specialist if you need help .
  4. Join Practice Group Calls
    • These are goldmines for staying top-of-mind. Regularly attending helps you stay connected, learn from peers, and showcase your expertise, jobs and candidates
  5. Respond quickly and respectfully to fellow members trying to help you
    • Even If you are getting overwhelmed a quick reply is needed; you don’t want to miss an opportunity for a great partner
    • If a partner sends you a candidate that is off-base, let them know. Even better, let them know where they missed the mark so they can refine their search. Help them help you!
  6. Don’t just “post and pray”—be proactive! Send your job directly to candidate recruiters in your niche

Following these habits will make a difference over time.

Nicky
