Dear Nicky,
I have been a member for a few years now and my jobs are falling like rocks and candidates are getting harder to find. Wondering if it is time to call it quits.

Dear Struggling,
"Not busy" is the best time to be in a network. You can lean on your partners for jobs, get on calls, and ask others about how they are finding candidates and doing business development. There is a lot of sage advice out there and jobs to work on. With very few exceptions, there is *always* someone making money. When you are short on jobs, flip to providing candidates for partners who do have jobs and need help. Carve out some time for professional development - there are great tips being shared during our free monthly webinar training series. You may need to learn some different tactics in order to find success. No one is getting "easy" jobs anymore, and candidates are still hard to find in most sectors.
Don’t be afraid to ask your partners for help. We can tell you story after story of members that found success when their business was at is lowest point. And as one wise former member used to say, "Remember to take more walks on the beach when business is slow. Your time isn't as valuable when you're not busy, and if nothing else you'll get some exercise and clear your mind."
Hang in there. If there's one thing we've learned in the past 67 years, it's that business always cycles back.
Nicky
