Our first NPAworldwide meetup in South Africa was a strong and encouraging start for the local network. The session was well attended and created a professional yet intimate environment that allowed for meaningful conversations and genuine relationship building.

One of the most positive aspects of the event was the presence of several non-members. This gave us an excellent opportunity to introduce them to NPAworldwide and clearly explain the value of being part of a global recruitment network. There was strong interest in how the model supports collaboration across borders, enables split placements, and helps agencies expand their reach without significantly increasing overheads.

Importantly, there was also real excitement about the possibilities closer to home. Attendees responded positively to the idea of building a strong local network and support system within South Africa, creating meaningful partnerships right on their doorstep while still benefiting from global reach. The discussions between members and non-members alike were broad, informative, and engaging, leaving many keen to continue the conversation beyond the session.

There was clear energy in the room, with questions around future meetup dates, potential locations, and further opportunities to stay connected. Overall, the meetup achieved exactly what it set out to do. It strengthened relationships within the existing community while also creating new awareness among prospective members.

This is the first of many meetups to come within South Africa as we continue building momentum and growing the NPAworldwide presence across the region.
