Dear Nicky,
It has been quite the week. I share a lot of details about my jobs with my NPAworldwide partners so they have all the information I have. Lately I have been feeling like it is a mistake. I had one recruit from my client and another post a job that said no advertising. My trading partners need to help protect my relationship with my client. They are being sloppy and lazy with permission to advertise and not paying attention to where the candidate is currently located and where they work. Not sure what more I can do.

Dear Whiny,
Oof, that stinks. I hear you loud and clear. The permission to advertise designation MUST be followed. No advertising means exactly that - the job may not be shared anywhere, including on the partner's own website.
For jobs where permission to advertise has been granted, candidate recruiters must ensure that their partner, and their partner's client, cannot be identified in your advertising. Protecting a member's client relationship is paramount. Additionally, it is not a good idea to create a situation where a candidate can figure out who the employer is and go direct, thereby cutting out both partners from receiving their well-earned fee. Partners who violate this are subject to disciplinary action, including expulsion from the network.
Better communication between partners is always advised. We have learned that most disputes are the result of poor/inadequate communication. Always talk to your partner before commencing ANY placement activity. Overcommunicating upfront goes a long way to avoiding unpleasant conversations, hurt feelings, and damaged relationships down the road.
Nicky
