Please help me in sending a big thank you to Wayne Daley (Launch Gig, NPA 2079) and Mike Yahkind (Technical Paradigm, NPA 4038) for their valuable volunteer efforts over the last few years. Wayne started and ran the Cybersecurity Technology Subgroup for about 6 years. Shortly after joining NPA, Mike spearheaded the Fintech Subgroup and ran it for 3 years. Both Mike and Wayne did outstanding jobs with these groups, having created engagement that resulted in placements. Their volunteer efforts are greatly appreciated! We hope to have both of them back in volunteer roles in the future. Please reach out and thank them for their efforts.
Both of these groups have been folded into the Technology Practice Groups and members should join either or both group monthly meetings. These are held on the 2nd Thursday and 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm Eastern. Christine Kines (Vector Recruiting, NPA 2161) will continue to run these groups. https://zoom.us/j/8296012011
The reason for combining these groups is to increase member visibility and networking in less amount of time, on a fewer number of calls. This should create more engagement among partners which will lead to the ultimate goal of increasing revenue from split placements.
There are many ways to volunteer in NPA. I would suggest you give it a try as you might find it to be as rewarding as I do. I wish I had started doing it sooner!
