The Essence of NPA was alive and well in Sicily this past June 1-3. Close to 30 attendees gathered at the beautiful ocean view, RG Naxos resort. Attendees shared their best practices and thought leadership. In doing so, new friendships were made, and old friendships were renewed.
President Dave Nerz discussed the demographic impact facing the global recruitment marketplace. Tony Restell of Social Hire shared his expertise in client lead generation and social media. Dave Nerz and I led a discussion session around cross-border splits and working globally.
I would like to thank Dave and his team for the great job putting this event together. Also, many thanks to Board Director Tim Lane for his leadership in bringing together this memorable event. I have asked Dave and Tim to comment on the event, please see below. Lastly, many thanks to the continued support and guidance from the founder of this annual NPAworldwide European event, the one and only Trond Larsen from Talent Gallery AS.
Tim Lane: "For me, the meeting continues to grow and develop into a true "essence of NPA" meeting; a fantastic cross-section of both new members and well-established ones. And although a European based meeting, it is a miniature version of the US-based Annual Conference, in that it brings together people from a lot of the countries within the network. However, the smaller size allows a lot more interaction and growth of both knowledge and friendships."
Dave Nerz: "It was valuable to hear each participant’s style of recruiting. Of greatest value were the best practices shared around candidate control, business development and the big winner was the idea of a small "administration fee" added to every invoice to cover advertising, billing and general admin. Great actionable take-aways were offered to attendees.
I am always happy to chat,
Happy Hunting.
